Advice for Mr. Chuoi Huts

Please familiarise yourself with the area through our local transport and international transport pages. The Koh Phra Thong beaches page will give a broader idea of the layout of the island.

The pier at Baan Lions - Koh Phra Thong is accessible at all times. However, arrival 1-2 hours either side of low tide makes access more difficult. Please avoid arriving at this time where possible.

On booking this accommodation we will add transfers from Khuraburi town to the pier and the boat onwards to Koh Phra Thong. For full information on why we do this please read our budget travel notes.

Once on Koh Phra Thong an internal transfer to/ from Mr.Chuoi's is usually included with all accommodation. Pre-booking will ensure that he will meet you at the pier.

Mr Chuoi's Bar and Huts are situated close to the beach at Golden Buddha Bay on the west coast of Koh Phra Thong. Accommodation is comprised of 10 delightful bamboo huts with private bathrooms. All of them are good value at 500 Bt a night. Mr.Chuoi also has two deluxe family bunglows with 24hr solar electric - these are priced at 750 Bt a night.

Thailand revisited

Staying at Mr. Chuoi's huts evokes feelings of Thailand 20 years ago. On arrival here you know you have found somewhere special. Beauty and nature are all around. There are no crowds, no people trying to sell you things you don't want, no feeling of being on the tourist gravy train. Only peace, tranquility and the awareness that you have found your own private paradise.

Snorkeling & diving from the beach

The huts are generously spaced. Each benefiting from uninterrupted views of the sea and Koh Pling. The clear warm water in Golden Buddha Bay is sheltered from the open sea and offers good swimming, snorkelling and diving opportunities. The white sandy beach stretches for 15km. It is shared only with the exclusive Golden Buddha Beach Resort (1.5km to the south) and Phra Thong Bay Bungalows (1km to the south).
