Snorkeling on the Andaman coast of Thailand
The snorkeling off the Andaman Coast is amongst the best in Thailand. Visitors to the region would certainly be missing out if they didn't visit the sensational Surin Islands. With clear warm waters and the broadest range of hard corals in Thailand they are indeed a national treasure.
Koh Tachai is another stunning location with white sand beaches and azure crystal waters. Tachai bay is shallow and always calm making it a great place for a family snorkeling adventure.
Koh Phra Thong has good snorkeling around the islands of Koh Pling Yai and Koh Pling Noi in Golden Buddha Bay This is accessible by a short boat trip. Alternatively you can snorkel directly off the beach at Hornbill Rocks at the end of Golden Buddha beach

The famous Tachai pinnacle attarcts large pelagics such as whale sharks and manta rays. Leopard sharks are regularly seen lazing in the sand.
