Please read following notes before booking your stay

Koh Phra Thong is really off the beaten track and getting around in this part of Thailand is not as easy as in the touristy areas. This is what makes this area so special and why those who endeavour to come here are richly rewarded with what they find.

a) Transport between Khuraburi bus station and Khuraburi pier:

There are motorcycle taxis available and the odd opportunistic taxi to take you. There are no 'tuk-tuks' or 'songthaews' in Khuraburi. Motorcycle taxis will cost 70 - 80 Bt per bike and the ride is 15 - 20 mins. Taxis will cost 300 Bt and the ride is 10 - 15 mins. If you wish to book taxis with us then please tick the boxes below. Please note that if you choose to make your own way to the pier then you will need to ensure that you arrive in good time for the 'ferry' transfer to the island. If you book a 'private longtail transfer' then it is not as important. For a smooth transfer we recommend booking a taxi through us.

b) Transport between Khuraburi pier and Koh Phra Thong pier:

There are two options from Khuraburi pier either by 'private longtail charter' or by the 'ferry' service.

i) Private longtail charter is available any day of the week between 7am and 5pm. They are not available after 5pm as this risks some of the journey occurring in the dark. If you choose the 'private longtail charter' option then you should let us know your intended travel time up to one week before your arrival time in Khuraburi. This will allow us to ensure availability for the time you wish to travel from Khuraburi to Koh Phra Thong. The journey time from Khuraburi to Koh Phra Thong is just over 1 hour.

ii) The ferry service is new for 2011/12 and arranged by us to open up Koh Phra Thong to more budget conscious & single travellers. This service runs both ways on Monday, Wednesday & Friday - (please see ferry transfer calendar for full list of dates and make sure that your arrival date and departure date correspond with ferry dates). The ferry will run at varying times of day during the season dependant on tides. In general the transfer from Khuraburi to Koh Phra Thong will be in the morning and the ride back will be in the afternoon. Travellers should be prepared to have some time flexibility in their timetable when using the 'ferry' service. If you have a flight to catch the order a 'private longtail charter'

iii) It is possible to mix & match the above services. e.g. you can select to take the 'ferry' service to Koh Phra Thong and then return to Khuraburi by 'private longtail' if, for instance, you need to get back for a flight or would like to come back on a day of the week where no 'ferry' service is available.

c) Transport to/from Mr.Chuoi's bungalows:

Mr.Chuoi provides free transfer between Koh Phra Thong pier and Mr.Chuoi Huts & Bar for all guests staying with him. He will be ready to pick you up on arrival and will ensure that you get your transfer back to the mainland after your stay with him.
