Koh Wah's place
Koh Wah's place, previously known as the Heart Beach Resort is at the north west tip of Koh Phra Thong. This location has a fantastic private beach and views of Koh Ra. There are 6 camping enclosures on the beach with gardens, clubhouse and washing facilities behind.
The Heart Beach Resort closed at the end of the 2008-2009 season. Koh Wah and his family chose to live on the mainland rather than in seclusion on the island. Nevertheless, the resort buildings remain behind and he is willing to allow visitors to stay on his family's land for a small contribution. A camping enclosure and tent at Koh Wah's place is only 250 Bt (€5)

Best surf on the island
The beach at Koh Wah's is beautiful - broad and flat with white sands. To the north side of the resort is the channel separating Koh Phra Thong and Koh Ra. At different times of the tide water from the channel interacts with sea. Waves form off the edges of this tidal interference which comes rolling onto the beach as surf - great fun for boogie boards, body surfing and general larking about.

Baan Lions is a new village at the north tip of Koh Phra Thong. For an interesting cultural experience, try a homestay visit. You will be well looked after by your local hosts who will treat you to tasty Thai favourite dishes (with or without chilis)
